The Opportunity

I worked with blooming start-up, Civilience, where I was responsible for creating and designing logos and name brands using typography, and color palettes that symbolized the company’s position in publicizing medical statistics to communities. Additionally, I used Figma to create a layout for updating the website and used JavaScript and HTML on WordPress to make the proposed layout the current website

The Problem

Scrolling through 100's of instagram posts is boring. No offense to all the people who took awesome pictures on their summer trip to Europe, but I only wanted to see the main accounts I follow today.

After interviewing people around my age at UC Berkeley, I found that this want was universal and I should do something about it. In fact, it was a common complaint that Instagram has been lacking on innovation for the past decade and has remained constant. Other problems that people brought up was the inability to move around posts to people’s liking, and add more personality to the user’s profile. I decided to focus on the most popular and feasible one: bookmarking accounts that you want to scroll through without seeing excessant accounts. Here is the before:
